The mount of Mercury is below the Mercury finger. Mercury is all about your communication and self expression. Mercury also is about how you conduct business transactions. The mount of Mercury has indicators for this. However it also indicates teaching abilities, healing abilities, your relationship with others in society, and how you apply your intelligence.
A raised mount of Mercury indicates someone who is a really good expressing themselves. They are able to parlay their communication expertise into business, and be successful in that regard.
A sunken mount of Mercury is indicative of someone who just doesn’t quite catch on to what people are saying. They have a tendency to struggle to understand what people are say or what they want, and often get instructions wrong. They have a hard time bridging the gaps.
For example, if you are talking to a person with a sunken mount of Mercury and you are discussing packing a car for a trip and you say tell them to pack the luggage then stack it on top of each other when it’s loaded, they may have a stack of luggage by the front door because you did not explicitly say to put it in the car.
If the mount of Mercury leans towards the Apollo finger, then the person has a tendency to be verbose. If this person is communicating a decision, they could have a tendency to explain everything they considered leading to the decision in detail.
The mount of Mercury leaning towards Apollo also is a strong indicator of curiosity and a drive to understand something. The more inflated it is, the more these traits will be evidenced.
A mount of Mercury leaning towards the outside of the Palm is indicative of a person who changes at the drop of a hat. They can be temperamental, moody, joyous, you just never know, or never know what will trigger a change.
There are also many minor markings on the mount of Mercury that I will look into later.
